A non-profit horse rescue in Southern Vermont
Please join our Circle of Hope by making a recurring monthly gift for one year towards the care of our rescue horse at The Dorset Equine Rescue. By joining the Circle of Hope you are helping to cover important monthly expenses associated with caring for a rescue horse including veterinary care, farrier care, grain, medications, hay and training. This will help us to continue to save the lives of horses in need and connect them with caring families and adopters who will give them wonderful and loving forever homes. When you join our Circle of Hope, you have the option of selecting a specific horse to sponsor, or you may choose to support the general herd. Please let us know if you would like to receive a photo of the horse you wish to sponsor, along with their story. This also makes a great holiday or birthday gift to honor a friend or family member who loves horses. There are three levels to consider when joining our Circle of Hope:
Silver Level: $45/per month
Covers the grain for one month for one horse, or covers the cost of hay to feed one horse for approximately one week, or covers one farrier visit for one horse.
Gold Level: $100/per month
Covers hay to feed one horse for approximately two weeks, or covers the cost of approximately four hours of training, or covers the cost of approximately 12 bags of bedding.
Platinum Level: $250/per month
Covers the hay to feed one horse for approximately five weeks, or covers the cost of a veterinarian exam/spring vaccines for one horse, or covers the cost of approximately 35 bags of bedding.
Your sponsorship will make a difference for a horse in need and allow our organization to continue its mission into the future.
Thank you for your support!
Hope came to The Dorset Equine Rescue as a 4 month old with her mom June several years ago. Due to severe neglect and lack of medical care, Hope arrived very ill. She had rhodococcus, pneumonia and a severe hernia which needed surgery, however she was not well enough to have the surgery. Sadly she encountered multiple severe complications due to the rhodococcus and pneumonia and her body could not recover. Rather than allowing her to suffer, she was humanly euthanized. We were so heartbroken and decided to name our Circle of Hope in her memory to help other horses like her have hope for a new life.
