Sarge came to us in August 2014 from an auction in New York where he was bound for slaughter. He came to us very scared, due to him not having his full sight. After he was examined by the vet we learned he was 100% blind in one eye and nearly blind in the other eye. He was with us through the winter, he began to trust us more and more but wasn’t fully comfortable. We wanted to find the perfect home for Sarge, because underneath we knew he was a wonderful horse. That came true for him early Spring 2015. Sarge found a wonderful home at Blue Star Equiculture. He has an amazing home now where he is settling in. He has herd mates where he is accepted and is able to be a horse again without fear. It would not have been possible without the wonderful staff at Blue Star Equiculture or Jon Katz.
