Jack (shown right) and his mother Ruby were rescued in the spring with the help of Spring Hill Horse Rescue. They were full and asked if we had room to take them. They were trapped inside an old camper with no place to go outside for the entire winter. The floor was filled with feet of manure and the odor was unbearable. Jack was a new born when he was put in the camper. As he grew, the halter that was left on him became too tight, making it almost impossible for him to open his mouth. Luckily he was able to open his lips enough to be able to nurse his mother. They were covered in manure and had very overgrown hooves. Watching Jack run free and play for the very first time in his life just after his rescue was a very heart warming experience. They were with us for a few months but have been adopted and are very loved by their new owners. They are definitely loving life!
