Sadie came to us in 2018 through law enforcement due to a neglect case. She was just 4 years old and was a body score of 3. Her hooves had not been trimmed in a very long time, and quite possibly had never been trimmed. She also had an infected cut in her nostril. Sadie had very little handling and was terrified of people. It took us over an hour to catch her at first. We let her settle in for a whole year and regularly worked on getting her to trust us before starting her into our training program. She’s now trained to ride and loves going out on the trails. We are so proud of how far she has come. She’s now so friendly and realizes that humans can be friends too.
