Moon is still in the evaluation process and will be available very soon. She is a 16 year old draft cross mare who came to us through a law enforcement investigation in February. She has been coming along nicely in the ring at a walk and trot. She has very hard sides and mouth, so we are trying to get her to soften up and be more responsive. She has been safe to ride but would be very difficult for a beginner or child to ride as she requires a lot of strength. She will need an experienced adopter/rider to keep her going and who has some skill to know how to continue to soften her. Moon has been ridden on the trails a few times and is slightly nervous and a little jumpy but otherwise did great. We don’t think she has had any trail experience especially going out alone. She would require a strong confident person to ride solo, and would do better with a friend. She is safe for an intermediate rider in the ring. However given her personality, we feel she would do best in a situation where she can have ring work as well as trail work. She does tend to get pretty sour in the riding ring so we limit that time to keep everything a positive experience. Adoption fee: $2,000
