A non-profit horse rescue in Southern Vermont
The Circle of Hope is a unique opportunity for a horse lover who doesn’t have the ability to care for a horse of their very own, but would still like to make a difference in a horse’s life. By making a recurring monthly gift towards the care of a specific horse at The Dorset Equine Rescue, you are helping to cover important monthly expenses associated with caring for a rescue horse including veterinary care, farrier care, grain, medications, hay and training. The Circle of Hope makes a thoughtful gift to honor a friend or family member who loves horses. Please let us know if your sponsorship is a gift and you would like a photo and story of the horse you are sponsoring. You can find a list of our current horses on our “Adopt a Horse” page.
*Please note: If your sponsored horse is adopted before your sponsorship deadline, your sponsorship will automatically transfer to another horse.
There are three levels to consider when joining our Circle of Hope:
Silver Level: $45/per month
Covers the grain for one month for one horse, or covers the cost of one farrier visit for one horse, or buys 3 bottles of fly spray, or buys 5 large salt blocks.
Gold Level: $100/per month
Covers 20 bales of hay, enough to feed one small horse for one month, or covers the cost of 5 hours of training, or buys 7 tubes of de-wormer.
Platinum Level: $250/per month
Covers the hay to feed two horses for one month, or covers 12 hours of training, or buys two winter blankets, or buys a pallet of horse bedding.
Your sponsorship will make a life-saving difference for a horse at the Dorset Equine Rescue and allow our organization to continue its mission into the future.

Thank you for your support!
Hope came to The Dorset Equine Rescue as a 4 month old with her mom June this past summer. Due to severe neglect and lack of medical care, Hope arrived very ill. She had rhodococcus and pneumonia and a severe hernia which needed surgery, however she was not well enough to have the surgery. Sadly she encountered multiple severe complications due to the rhodococcus and pneumonia and her body could not recover. Rather than allowing her to suffer, she was humanly euthanized. We were so heartbroken and have decided to name our Circle of Hope in her memory to help other horses like her have hope for a new life.
